Privacy Policy

Your spreadsheet contents are processed in your browser. This policy explains the separate information used to deliver the website, provide support, and measure visits with your permission.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Charttoolbox at www.charttoolbox.com is operated by 张欣 (Zhang Xin), an individual operator also known as Selah. The operator is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact 524736248@qq.com for privacy questions and requests.

2. Files, pasted data, and charts

CSV, TSV, XLS/XLSX files, pasted tables, calculations, and chart settings are processed locally by your browser. Charttoolbox does not upload or store their contents on a server, send them to AI providers, or use them to train AI models. The website does not save projects or spreadsheet contents to local storage. Original files and downloaded charts remain under your control on your device.

This local-processing statement applies to the chart workflow. If you choose to email us a screenshot or sample file for support, that material is sent through email and becomes part of your support correspondence. Please remove personal or confidential information before sending examples.

3. Information we receive

Support correspondence: when you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, the message, and attachments you choose to send. We use this information to answer you and investigate the issue.

Website requests: hosting and network providers may process your IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, request time, and technical or security logs to deliver and protect the website.

Optional analytics: if you select “Accept analytics,” Google Analytics 4 can process page visits, traffic sources, approximate location, browser/device information, and interactions such as scrolling or outbound clicks. Charttoolbox does not send filenames, spreadsheet contents, cell values, pasted data, or generated chart data to Google Analytics.

No Charttoolbox account or payment is required. We do not currently collect account passwords, billing details, or payment card information. The website does not request precise device location.

4. Why we use this information

We use website request information to provide the Service, diagnose faults, and protect it from abuse. We use support correspondence to respond to your request. Optional analytics helps us understand website use and improve the tools.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on your consent for optional analytics; performance of the requested service or our legitimate interests in responding to you for support; legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure website for technical processing; and legal obligations where we must retain or disclose information. We do not use support emails to enroll you in a marketing mailing list.

5. Cookies and your analytics choice

Google Analytics is not loaded until you select “Accept analytics.” Your choice is stored in your browser under charttoolbox.analytics-consent, so it can be remembered on later visits. If you accept, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga to distinguish visits.

You can use Cookie settings on any page to reject analytics or withdraw permission. On rejection, Charttoolbox removes known Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page if analytics was active, so the tag stops loading. Withdrawal does not undo processing that already occurred. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using any chart tool.

Charttoolbox does not enable advertising storage or personalized advertising through its analytics consent settings. Please avoid including sensitive information in page URLs or support messages.

6. Service providers and disclosures

We use Vercel for website hosting and Cloudflare for domain/network services. The footer badges load images from Twelve Tools, Fazier, Findly.tools, Turbo0, Wired Business, ShowMeBestAI, Good AI Tools, PeerPush, Toolfame, neeed.directory, and Sell With Boost; those providers may receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser type. Google processes optional analytics information after consent. Tencent's QQ Mail handles correspondence sent to our support address. These providers' policies describe their own data practices.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be disclosed where required by law, necessary to protect legal rights or investigate abuse, or specifically authorized by you. We do not send spreadsheet contents from the chart workflow to these providers.

Waffo Pancake is not currently used to collect payments on Charttoolbox. If paid services are introduced, this policy and the purchase terms will explain the payment provider and transaction data before checkout becomes available.

7. Retention and deletion

Chart input is held in the active browser page while you use the tool; Charttoolbox keeps no server copy or saved cloud project. Closing or reloading the page ends that working session. Your source files and downloaded exports are not deleted from your device.

The analytics preference remains in local storage until you change it or clear site data. Analytics cookies expire according to Google's cookie settings or can be removed through Cookie settings. Google Analytics data and infrastructure logs are retained under the applicable provider settings and retention policies; we do not promise that every provider uses the same period.

Support correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve and follow up on the request, address disputes, or meet legal obligations, then deleted when no longer needed. You can ask us to delete correspondence earlier, subject to any applicable legal requirement to retain it.

8. Security and international processing

The website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit. Keeping spreadsheet processing on your device reduces the information sent to us. No website or email service can guarantee absolute security; send only information needed for support. If a personal-data breach triggers a notification obligation, we will notify affected people and authorities as required by applicable law.

Our providers may process technical, analytics, or support information outside your country, including in the United States and China. Applicable provider terms describe their international transfer arrangements. Where additional safeguards are legally required for processing under our control, we will put those safeguards in place. Local chart processing does not require transferring your spreadsheet to those countries.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, restriction of processing, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time using Cookie settings. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority.

Send requests to 524736248@qq.com. We may request limited information to verify that a request concerns your data. We aim to respond within 30 calendar days and will follow any shorter or otherwise applicable legal deadline, explaining any permitted extension. We cannot retrieve spreadsheet contents that never left your browser.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If a child has sent us personal information, a parent or guardian can contact us to request deletion. Where a higher age for valid consent applies, that requirement must also be met.

11. Links and policy changes

External websites have their own privacy practices. Review their policies when following a link. This policy describes Charttoolbox's processing and does not replace those third-party policies.

We will update the date and version when this policy changes. Material changes will be explained through a notice on the website, with advance notice where required. If a new purpose requires consent, we will request that consent before the new processing begins.
