Give the chart the right data
Use one unique date or label per row and 1–8 numeric series. Date mode accepts YYYY-MM-DD and sorts chronologically. Ordered labels preserve row order with equal spacing. Missing values and duplicate X labels require correction. Series share one unit and one Y axis.
Maximum import: 10 MB, 2,000 rows including the header, 100 columns, and 20,000 cells. This tool accepts zero or absolute numeric values between 10⁻⁹ and 10¹²; rescale extreme values first. Excel imports read the first worksheet.
Choose deliberately
When to use a line chart
Monthly revenue, daily sign-ups, or a sequence of repeated measurements. Use the same measurement unit across lines so comparisons make sense.
When to choose another chart
Unordered categories are easier to compare with a bar chart. A line connects observations; it does not prove what happened between measurements. Lines are straight, with no smoothing or forecasting.

Before you create your chart
Why did my rows move?
Date mode sorts dates chronologically and spaces them by elapsed time. Ordered labels keeps the original row order. The selected mode is visible and editable.
Can I mix revenue and conversion rate?
Use separate charts for different units. This tool blocks explicit percentage and ordinary-number series on the same axis and does not provide a second Y axis.
How should Excel dates be formatted?
Format the date cells as yyyy-mm-dd before importing, or select Ordered labels if equal spacing is appropriate. Only the first worksheet is read.
Does Charttoolbox upload my data?
Spreadsheet contents are parsed, calculated, and rendered locally. Optional Google Analytics loads only after consent and does not receive filenames, spreadsheet contents, or generated chart data.
